How To Plan For An Outdoor Wedding?

Getting married is an essential part of life which we all want to celebrate in the best way possible and make it worth memorable for a lifetime. We often do not compromise on budget, location or any other factor, when it comes to wedding. Who would not want to imagine himself or herself getting married at an overwhelming destination? These days, brides and bridegrooms are letting go the ideas of the traditional indoor weddings and are opting for something new yet conventional. Only the place where marriages usually take place is changed and everything else remains the same.

The new generations generally look for outdoor wedding places such as field, backyard, mountain top, on beach, in local city parks, vineyards, and etc. Outdoor wedding have an advantage over the indoor weddings in the sense that it provides scenery and natural landscapes and adds speed to air of romance unlike the traditional indoor weddings which are generally done in the four walls of a room.

The open spaces, lovely weather together with the amazing view make the wedding magical yet beautiful in an outstanding manner which can only be experienced once. The best part of having an outdoor wedding is that you get an opportunity to be creative with everything you plan. Also, one does not always have to add more decor accessories and spend thousands of dollars to make it charming.

A few of the outdoor wedding logistics are listed below:

  1. Accessibility: Whether the wedding takes place on the mountains, on the beach or in a field, one needs to ensure easy access to the venue for elderly or handicapped guests. One can opt for sign boards for the guests to be aware of the key places.

  2. Lighting and Decorations: Outdoor lighting and Decorations is the key for wedding locations that can really set the mood of the guests plus the wedding couple. Going for paper lanterns, candles, tiki torches, maser jars, tea lights, chandeliers, spot lights in certain areas, string bulb lightings or floating lamps can make the location beautiful and enchanting.

  3. Weather and Temperature: Timing is truly everything, especially when it comes to the wedding day itself. It is advisable to schedule the ceremony time in accordance with the weather reports to avoid inconvenience.

  4. Scouting the venue prior to booking it: A good idea before is to view your venue ahead of time before booking it. It will help to make contingency plans for insects, strong wind, outdoor lighting, heat, or weather and hence create a realistic contingency plan.

However, outdoor weddings have certain limitations as well when it comes to planning and fixing particular wedding dates considering the weather conditions. In addition, one has to choose practical and meaningful locations with respect to the logistics, contingency plans, décor, plus the restroom situation. Plus, Outdoor weddings are much more expensive than the indoor weddings when it comes to factors such as the cost of a shuttle bus, tent rental, toilet rental, or electric generators, catering, etc. And these facilities are available as a package price which is generally high.

Weather conditions are uncertain, and we can never be sure about that. If we are planning for an outdoor wedding, there is a possibility of rain and as a result it can ruin the plans. So why not have a backup plan as well as an alternative location? This will ensure a tension free wedding and will actually be one less thing to worry about during the wedding. Hence, whatever location one chooses, they have to ensure proper accommodation facilities with respect to the above criteria.
